P2P sharing has become a highly popular trend that has caught on over the last few years. It is questionable if it is legal or not. The truth is that they are only illegal if you are not paying for the service. If there is a small fee to pay then its usually not, because a software company is offering you the service. i.e. napster, MP3 Rocket.
P2P sharing is a great way to discover new music that you might not have heard before, or just looking for that song you been wanting to hear without having to buy the CD itself. I am a musician and i think that quality P2P engine are a great way for exposure. The legality of it shouldn't be questioned since people have been sharing music since the days of blank cassette tapes. If you are looking for a good quality P2P
downloading program there are many available. A great Place too look is cnet.com
I can see that there are some down sides to using these P2P
downloading program. The artist might lose money that they deserve, but it also brings them new fans. So i guess its a double edge sword. A people's opinions about P2P
downloading programs may differ. I personally love them as long as you are keeping it legal.
